Instagram not posting

Work through the professional-account, linked-Page, connection and switch checks in order to find why Instagram stopped posting.

Instagram posting can stop for several different reasons, and they look similar from the outside. Work through these in order.

Check these in order

  1. Does Settings say Facebook is connected, but no Page was shared? Then nothing can post to Facebook or Instagram, and Instagram shows greyed out. Reconnect Facebook, click Edit settings (not Continue) when Facebook asks Continue as <your name>?, then choose Opt in to current Pages only (not Opt in to all current and future Pages, which returns no Pages) and select your Page and your Instagram. If it still says no Page, check Instagram is a professional account linked to a Facebook Page. See Facebook is connected, but no Page was shared.
  2. Is Instagram a professional account, linked to the right Facebook Page? Instagram is only reachable through a linked professional (Creator or Business) account — a personal Instagram account can't be connected either way. Open Settings → Accounts & platforms → Instagram; if it says no Instagram account is linked to your Page, link a professional Instagram account to that Page on Instagram's own settings, then reconnect.
  3. Does Settings say Instagram is unlinked from your Facebook Page? The Instagram account can be unlinked from the Page on Instagram's or Facebook's side while your Facebook connection keeps working. Relink it, and the notice clears by itself. See Instagram is unlinked from your Facebook Page.
  4. Which door is Instagram using? EverySqueeze reaches Instagram either through your connected Facebook Page or through a separate Instagram-only connection, where that option is available. A problem with Facebook only affects Instagram if Instagram is riding the Facebook Page's connection — check which one your workspace uses before assuming a Facebook issue is also an Instagram issue.
  5. Is the connection itself alive? Meta access expires roughly every 60 days. If Settings shows Reconnect instead of Connect for Facebook or Instagram, reconnect it. If a Page went missing from the grant during a reconnect, see Facebook Page access removed / posting paused — that same hold can stop Instagram if Instagram rides that Page.
  6. Is the Instagram "Auto-post new TikToks" switch actually on? Each platform has its own switch under Settings → Accounts & platforms. If it's off, new TikToks wait for you in the Composer or the mobile app instead of posting automatically — that's expected, not a failure.
  7. Was the post itself refused? Instagram does not make links in captions tappable, so if your caption or link setup assumes a clickable link, add the product yourself with Add products in Instagram instead. A caption or code that Instagram refuses outright shows as a failed post rather than a silent skip — check Failed posts for what a specific failure message means.
  8. Is a daily limit or the posting window holding it? A post outside your saved posting hours always waits, and each platform has its own daily cap on new automatic posts. Neither loses the post — it goes out once it clears. See Daily limits and Posting hours.

Still stuck?

Nothing already posted is affected by any of these checks, and a post that's waiting on a switch, a limit or a paused connection stays queued rather than being dropped. If Instagram still isn't posting after working through this list, use Report a problem (in Pip's menu or the Help button).
