Spacing between posts
Posts on the same platform are spread evenly across your posting hours, never closer than 45 minutes, or further apart with "Space posts at least".
EverySqueeze spaces your posts out for you, evenly across your posting hours. A day's posts on one platform divide the rest of that day's hours into equal parts, and each post goes at a natural-looking minute inside its own part: five posts between 7am and 11pm land roughly every three hours, not five in a row in the morning. The minute is never on the hour or a quarter-hour, and never exactly an hour from the post before it. Posts to different platforms are kept a few minutes apart, so they never go out at the same minute.
When a new TikTok arrives
Automatic times are not fixed. When a new TikTok arrives, it and the posts EverySqueeze already planned for the rest of that day on the same platform are spread out again, evenly across the hours left in your posting hours. So as a day fills up, its earlier automatic posts can move earlier. A new video is not posted the moment it appears on TikTok: it gets a time somewhere in the hours that are left, so a video that arrives late in the day goes out late. A post you set a time for keeps it.
To send a post sooner, give it a time yourself: on the desktop dashboard, drag it on the Schedule calendar; in the mobile app, open Schedule, tap the post and press Change time. To have posts go out earlier in the day in general, start your posting hours earlier (Settings → Posting schedule).
Space posts at least
Settings → Posting schedule has a "Space posts at least" card. Automatic (at least 45 minutes) is the default: posts on the same platform are never closer than 45 minutes. Pick 1 to 12 hours to keep them further apart. It applies to every platform while Same on every platform is on. Switch that off to give each platform its own, or set it in that platform's settings in Accounts & platforms (for example Space Facebook posts at least, next to Posts per day); Same as all platforms follows the Posting schedule value. The mobile app has the same choices in Settings → Posting schedule and under each platform's posts per day.
Every way a post gets a time follows it: automatic posts, older videos, Next open slot, Fill my week, and a change to your limits or hours.
When it doesn't fit your hours
Posts per day × spacing has to fit inside your posting hours. Six posts at least 3 hours apart need 15 hours; with posting hours of 9am to 9pm only four fit. Settings says so under the spacing, for example: *Facebook: 6 posts a day at least 3 hours apart don't fit in your posting hours (12 hours). 4 fit a day; the rest go out the next day.* The Schedule tab shows the same line under your posting hours. Nothing is dropped: the extra posts go out the next day. Lower posts per day, shorten the spacing or widen your hours to fit them in one day.
What moves when you change it
Changing the spacing spreads the posts EverySqueeze planned again, in the same order. A post you set a time for never moves for this: it only waits for the 45-minute minimum.
If a post is due before its platform's gap has passed, it waits and goes out when the gap clears; its wait reason says it is spacing out your posts. See Why a post hasn't gone out.
Older schedule
A workspace still on the older schedule has a "Minimum gap between posts" dial in Settings → Posting schedule instead (No gap up to 12 hours, per platform), and only spaces posts on the same platform.
