Your Facebook caption template
Build the caption every Facebook post uses, with tokens for your Amazon link, video title and hashtags.
Settings → Accounts & platforms → Facebook, under Your Facebook caption, has an editor for the caption your Facebook posts use.
Tokens
You can add chips for Amazon link, Video title and Hashtags. Your own caption text isn't offered as a chip — it's already the first line by default, so adding it again would just duplicate your words.
The default
Left untouched, the caption is your TikTok caption followed by your Amazon link on its own line. Saving a template you haven't changed publishes exactly that, unchanged. One thing is added at posting time: a Facebook post that carries an Amazon link ends its caption with #ad, just before the link, unless your caption already discloses. That is a separate switch, not part of the template; see Where your Amazon link goes on Facebook.
Limits
A caption template can run up to 1,000 characters. Typed URLs aren't allowed in the template itself — Facebook's own tagged link is added automatically, so a link would double up or be stripped at posting.
Where it applies
The template is saved to your account and applies to every Facebook post: automatic and scheduled posts, and Post now from the desktop Composer or the phone app. A caption you type in the Composer or the app fills the caption chip, so the template's other text and tokens still wrap it. The summary line at the top of Facebook's settings (Settings → Accounts & platforms) and the phone app's posting setup summary show whether your own template or the default is in use. You can edit the template here or in the phone app's Facebook settings; both edit the same saved template.
See Caption cleanup for what happens to TikTok-only hashtags in automatic posts first.
