Where the Amazon disclosure appears

EverySqueeze adds an affiliate disclosure on YouTube, Pinterest, Auto DM and Facebook posts with an Amazon link (#ad). You choose the Auto DM wording.

Amazon's program and the FTC both require a clear disclosure on a post carrying an affiliate link. EverySqueeze handles this differently by surface.

YouTube

Every description EverySqueeze writes includes the line "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." This is guaranteed — even a description template that leaves out the disclosure token still gets the line added.

Pinterest

Pins EverySqueeze posts start their description with the same "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." line, ahead of your caption hook and hashtags.

Auto DM

In the Auto DM block (Settings → Accounts & platforms → Facebook), you choose one of four disclosures that ends every DM: #ad (recommended, the shortest and named as clear by both the FTC and Amazon), (paid link) (Amazon's own example), (I may earn a commission) (plain wording close to the FTC's suggestion), or #afiliado (the word Spanish-speaking creators use, for a Spanish-speaking audience).

Facebook captions

A Facebook post that carries an Amazon link ends its caption with #ad, just before the link, unless your caption already discloses (it says #ad, affiliate, afiliado, commission, Amazon Associate, paid link or sponsored). It is on by default. Turn it off with the Add #ad to Facebook posts with an Amazon link switch: on the desktop in the Links group of Settings → Accounts & platforms → Facebook (Where to put your Amazon affiliate links in the older layout), and on the phone in the Facebook settings under Where to put your Amazon affiliate links. It applies while Amazon link in the caption is on, and the post preview shows the #ad. See Where your Amazon link goes on Facebook.

Instagram captions

Instagram captions don't carry an Amazon link, and the caption template doesn't offer a disclosure token (only YouTube's editor does). If you want a disclosure in an Instagram caption, add your own wording, such as #ad, to your caption text.
