Change the product on a post

Re-pick the Amazon product for a video when the match is wrong.

If a video is matched to the wrong Amazon product, or an uploaded video has no product at all, you can pick the right one yourself.

Where to do it

On the desktop dashboard, open the post in Composer or Schedule and use change product (or Set product if it has none yet).

On your phone, open Posts, open the video's card, then choose More options → Change product (or Add product), then Paste an Amazon product link (or Add or change the Amazon product for an uploaded video). Paste the Amazon product link or ASIN into that box and tap Save. To compare listings first, use Other matches under the card's products.

The phone's Schedule is a different screen. If the scheduled post has Review in Posts, tap it to open that video's Posts card. If that older video isn't in Posts, open Settings, choose Account and device, then scroll to Open desktop version and find it in desktop Composer. You do not need to cancel its schedule just to change its Amazon product. See The Posts tab.

Change it once for every video of a product

On the dashboard, Library → Products shows under each product's name the Amazon listing its videos link (or No link yet), with Change link beside it. Open a product and its link sits right under the product's name: the Amazon link its videos use, how many videos use it, and how many keep their own pick. Change link for all videos there (or Change link in the list) opens the product's link window. It says what its videos post now (Currently: Amazon · the listing) and shows Amazon results for the product's own name right away, each with its picture, price and ASIN; the listing in use is marked Current. Results for names the words the list shows, with Back to this product when you searched other words. Paste your own Amazon link or ASIN, or search Amazon by name, in the box above the list; below it are why we picked the current listing and other listings we found. What you choose is saved for every video of that product (and for its new videos), except videos where you picked a different product yourself: those keep their own pick, so one video can still differ. Automatic posts, the older-videos drip and your own posts all use it. A change made by an assistant applies to that one video only; the account owner's change applies to all.

The product's window has two tabs: Amazon link (the listing picker above) and Custom link. A link saved on the Custom link tab is posted for every video of the product instead of the Amazon listing, and the product's link (in Library → Products and on the product's page) then shows Custom link · the website, lit with a check; on the product's page with its picture and its clicks (its Change link button reopens the window on that tab). Use the Amazon link instead on the Amazon link tab switches back. A product with no Amazon listing chosen yet says no Amazon listing chosen yet on its page and still has Use my own link (in the list it says No link yet, with Add link). See Use your own link.

Choose the photo a product shows

Each product in Library → Products shows the TikTok Shop product photo, with the Amazon listing's photo next to its Amazon link (a product that posts your own link shows Custom link · the website there instead, with the product's picture). To show a different photo for a product, click the small photo button in the corner of its picture and choose the TikTok Shop photo, the Amazon listing photo, or the cover of one of its videos. The window says it: it only changes the picture on that Products card, and posts and links aren't affected. Your choice is saved for your account. If a photo can't load, the card shows the next one instead of a blank square.

Picking the product

Paste the ASIN or the Amazon link for the correct product, or use Find on Amazon to search for it. Every box where you change a product takes them: Library → Products, Pick a different product when you post, Pick another in Confirm products, and Wrong product on a Composer card (its Fix it takes a link or ASIN; use Other matches to see the next few Amazon candidates). A pasted link (any Amazon store, or an a.co / amzn.to share link) shows that one listing; choose it to save it.

Only the product is kept from your link: your own link tag is dropped and your EverySqueeze Amazon tag is used, as for every link we add. When you paste an affiliate link (a SiteStripe link, or an amzn.to / a.co share link), the box says so: we use the product, not the affiliate link. When you have a tracking ID saved, it adds that your own tracking ID is added automatically; when you have none, it asks you to add it in Settings → Amazon so your link carries it.

If a short link can't be opened, the box asks for the full amazon.com link or the ASIN. A TikTok link is refused with a note. A link to another website is refused too, with Use my own link instead: these boxes only change which Amazon product a video links, and a website link is posted through Use your own link. In the mobile app this box is Paste an Amazon product link under More options → Change product. The pick is saved to your account's one product-match store, so the Composer, the Schedule and the video's YouTube description all see the same answer.

Post your own link instead

To post your own Amazon link or any other link (the brand's website, for example) instead of an Amazon product, see Use your own link.

If the write fails

If saving the pick fails, the screen shows it as failed rather than silently keeping the old product — you'll know to try again.
