Phone notifications

Turn on notifications for new videos and failed posts, per device; on iPhone they come from the App Store app.

"Push notifications" lives in the mobile app: tap the cog at the top right, then Account and device, then the Notifications section.

The new video notification

When EverySqueeze sees a new TikTok it adds it to the app. Your phone is told only when something is waiting on you: a platform you post to by hand (the notification names it), or, in Careful link mode, a product to confirm. If every platform you connected is on auto-post, no notification is sent and nothing is waiting on you: the video posts at its planned time, which Schedule shows. A notification that says Tap to approve never holds back a platform that is on auto-post. What each message means, and how to make new videos post with no approval: The new video notification.

Turn notifications off

One switch per device covers every notification (new videos and failed posts together): the cog, Account and device, Notifications, then the Push notifications switch. In the iPhone App Store app, use the iPhone Settings app instead (below). There is no separate switch for new videos only.

On iPhone: use the App Store app

The EverySqueeze app from the App Store sends its own notifications. Tap the switch; your iPhone asks once whether to allow them. When it says On, you're set. To turn them off later, open the iPhone Settings app, then EverySqueeze, then Notifications. If it says Off because you declined earlier, turn on Allow Notifications there, then tap Check again.

An iPhone browser tab (Safari or Chrome) can't show notifications from a web page. Use the App Store app, or add EverySqueeze to your home screen from Safari (see Installing the mobile app) and open it from the icon; that works on iOS 16.4 or later.

The first open from your Home Screen

The first time you open EverySqueeze from its Home Screen icon, a card says "You're set up on this phone". Tap Turn on notifications and your phone asks right away whether to allow them. If it can't ask, the card says why and what to do: add EverySqueeze to your Home Screen first, or, if notifications are blocked, open the phone's Settings, then Notifications, then EverySqueeze. Not now closes it; you can turn them on later in Settings.

On other phones and computers

Tap the switch to turn on alerts for new videos and failed posts on that device. Once on, you can send yourself a test with "Send a test notification" to confirm it's working.

If it says Not available

Tap Check again. It checks this device again and tells you exactly what it found and what to do, for example that notifications on iPhone need the App Store app, or that the app needs updating.

If it says Blocked

Your phone's own settings are blocking it. On iPhone, open the phone's own Settings app, then Notifications, then EverySqueeze. In any other browser, open the site's permissions from the address bar. Reload the app after changing it.

Per device

This is a per-device setting — turning it on for your phone doesn't affect any other phone or the dashboard, and turning it off on one device doesn't affect others signed into the same account.

If setup can't finish ("Setup needs attention"), tap Try setup again — your existing permission settings aren't changed by a failed attempt.

The bell

The bell at the top of the app shows a number when scheduled posts have failed, a connection needs you (disconnected, unlinked, or expiring within 7 days), or there is a new message from EverySqueeze. With only failed posts, a tap opens them; with a connection problem or a message, a tap lists everything (failed posts, schedule changes to review, connection problems and messages), each with a button to open or fix it, and "Notification settings" at the bottom. With nothing to show, it opens these notification settings. Messages have a Dismiss button; an important one also shows as a slim banner under the top bar, two lines long with More to read the rest and × to dismiss. See Failed posts and Connection problems in the bell.
